Summer to Remember: Activity Guide for Families
Welcome to your Summer to Remember Token Bag! Each token is a little spark of memory-making fun. This guide is here to help you turn each one into an easy, low-prep activity — because kids don’t need extravagant, they just want time with you.
🍉 Outdoor Fun
Plan a Picnic
Keep it simple: PB&J, fruit, and a blanket in the backyard totally counts.
Water Day
Sprinkler, kiddie pool, water balloons, or even cups and buckets. Anything goes!
Blow Bubbles Outside
Buy a bottle or DIY with dish soap and a pipe cleaner wand.
Go on a Bike Ride
Cruise the neighborhood or hit up a local trail.
Catch Fireflies After Dark
Bring a jar (poke holes in the lid!) and let them go before bedtime.
Fly a Kite
Dollar store kite + breezy day = magic.
Sidewalk Chalk Obstacle Course
Draw paths, jumps, and silly challenges. Let the kids design it too!
Build Something Out of Cardboard
Robot? Car? Rocket? Grab boxes and let imagination lead.
Nature Walk or Scavenger Hunt
Make a list (or wing it!) and see what you find: leaves, bugs, birds, rocks.
Visit a Local Farmers Market
Give them $2 to pick a snack or flower. Talk to farmers, taste samples, explore.
🍦 Chill & Create
Make Homemade Popsicles
Blend fruit and juice, freeze in molds or paper cups with sticks.
Outdoor Movie Night
Projector optional! Just bring a laptop outside and grab snacks.
Paint Rocks with Fun Designs
Use acrylics or paint pens. Hide them around the neighborhood for others to find!
Make a Nature Collage
Collect leaves, petals, twigs, and glue them onto cardboard or paper.
Plant Something and Watch It Grow
Seeds or starter plants in a pot or garden. Water daily and watch the magic.
DIY Bird Feeder
Peanut butter on a toilet paper roll + birdseed. Hang on a tree.
🏡 At-Home Adventures
Build a Blanket Fort
Chairs, blankets, pillows — instant cozy hideaway.
Backyard Olympics
Three-legged race, water cup carry, hula hoop challenge. Make silly medals!
Family Board Game Night
Let the kids pick. Add popcorn and make it feel special.
Talent Show
Sing, dance, tell jokes, or show off silly tricks.
Pretend to be Pirates
Make a map, hide treasure (stickers, snacks), go on a hunt!
Glow Stick Dance Party
Turn off the lights, turn up the music, and dance it out.
Camp Out Indoors or in the Backyard
Sleeping bags, flashlights, and stories. Don’t forget marshmallows.
Tell Silly or Spooky Stories by Flashlight
Take turns making up goofy or slightly spooky tales.
Make S’mores (Real or Microwave!)
Classic treat that works over a fire pit or in the microwave.
Have an Ice Cream Sundae Night
Pick a few toppings, give each kid a bowl, and enjoy.
Lemonade Stand
Classic summer fun! Let them decorate signs and help pour.
Go on a “Yes Day” Adventure
Say “yes” to a few fun, kid-picked (reasonable!) ideas for the day.
💛 However you spend it, the most important part is just doing it together. These small, simple moments are what summer memories are made of. You've got this!
